hi space cadets! its captain carebear here, reporting from my little corner of the universe <3
i have always tried affirmations/manifesting and tried telling myself “you are lucky, things WILL go your way, everything i desire will find me”. quite honestly… it all felt quite performative doing it just for myself, same with keeping a journal. like i would genuinely get embarrassed doing it all even if i was the only one there. but despite that, when i do manage to get past the embarrassment and feeling performative, i feel like i do receive back what i put into the universe.
(another note: the performative journaling is what led me to a blog, that way my thoughts aren’t just for me, but for you too)
one sort of affirmation/manifetation i always put out is “things will work out exactly how its supposed to”. i am a very anxious person so the stress of needing control absolutely consumes me. when i feel that taking over me i remind myself “when have things not worked out” as if every thing i deem a mistake or that derails my plans was meant to happen that way to lead me to the bright side of the situation. when i look around, i see it everywhere, things working themselves out and the revelation of ahhhh that's why that happened, to bring us to here and now.
anyways, that thought and saying helps a lot with my anxiety, loosening my claws on the illusion that is control. today, a problem that has been consuming me worked out and i've been dreading facing it for months. I finally took care of it today and guess what… it took 10 whole minutes to do… but it all worked out exactly how it was supposed to. It really makes me thing that everytime i say “everything i desire will find me” and “things will work out” the universe is listening and responding.
moral of the story: keep on drifting through space, what is meant for you will find you and you'll drift
right into it. in the words of a very wise man “we don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents”-Bob Ross
Until next time, space cadets
